The ARPKD/CHF Alliance, is the only organization solely dedicated to Autosomal Recessive Polycystic Kidney Disease and Congenital Hepatic Fibrosis.

The goal is to better understand the pathogenesis of ARPKD/CHF, for treatment modalities.  Since the ARPKD/CHF Alliance’s objective is to provide research seed money that will lead to subsequent NIH funding, we utilize NIH Gold Standard Criteria to rate proposals.

      The following will not be funded:

• Overhead or indirect costs.

• Collaborator salaries.

• Salaries or stipends for students, except for summer research positions.

• General institutional expenses.

• General fundraising campaign expenses such as dinners and mass mailings.

• Religious, political, or other research that does not fall within the ARPKD/CHF Alliance’s areas of interest.

• Journal subscriptions, advertisements, tuition fees, professional society dues/memberships, meals, receptions, or parking fees.

• Construction or renovation, purchase of major capital equipment other than directly needed for proposed research, office equipment or furniture, travel, printer or publishing costs.
