Funded by The National Human Genome Research Institute at the NIH
(National Institutes of Health), this study focuses on manifestations specific to
ARPKD/CHF.

The ARPKD/CHF Alliance awarded Dr. Rebecca
Wells, M.D., Assistant Professor of Medicine (Gastroenterology) and
Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, a grant award to study the fundamental
mechanism of liver fibrosis.
Such research is critical to therapies.
Liver fibrosis and its complications are increasingly important as
individuals with ARPKD/CHF grow older and survive beyond the
neonatal period.
