The Human Race 2009

The Human Race is a nationwide community fundraising event for nonprofit organizations.  Nonprofit organizations and businesses recruit walkers, runners, and/or pledges to raise funds for nonprofit organizations.  The Human Race has proven to be a wonderful resource for nonprofits such as the ARPKD/CHF Alliance to raise funds for research, but also a memorable and special day for those who get involved.

The day of the race is filled with people from the community who are there to support nonprofit organizations, it is a day in which YOU are able to make a difference in the lives of others.

Shelby, a child affected with ARPKD/CHF, and her father Charles look forward to the day of the race each year.  It is an event they have been participating in for seven years!  Charles & Shelby reach out to friends, family, clients, and those in his community, and every single year donations come in!  Sonoma County, where Charles and Shelby live, is the volunteer center that coordinates the Human Race.  For more information on how to organize an event like the Human Race in your town, go to www.humanracenow.org.
